This version was barrel aged in whiskey barrels for about 5 months. That creates lots of vanilla hints, and some smells like dark fruits. Of course finish is well balanced, because base of the beer (dark chocolate, cocoa and roasted coffee) is nicely working with wooden barrel finish.
